چکیده
(1) Benign melanoses are a frequent issue in aesthetic dermatology. Solar lentigo, ephelides, café au lait spots, and other represent cosmetic for growing number of subjects. The Q-switched 1064/532-nanometer (nm) laser may be considered the gold standard management these issues. A new generation lasers, capable concentrating energy pulse spectrum hundreds picoseconds, is emerging, promising better results than previous ones. In this paper, we report use with picosecond to manage hypermelanoses. (2) Methods: 36 patients seeking melanosis removal were retrospectively enrolled at Magna Graecia University Catanzaro. Treatment parameters, although variable, following: 1064 nm duration 450 picoseconds (ps) dermic lesions 532 370 ps epidermal lesions. Up four treatments, minimum interval between treatments 30 days, performed. After last session, patients’ satisfaction was assessed three-month follow up Visual Analogue Scale (VAS). Two blinded dermatologists measured outcome using five-point scale comparing pictures before sessions during follow-up. (3) Results: enrolled; 23 females (63.9%) 13 males (36.1%). mean reported age 49.2 ± 18.9 years. All participants complete/almost complete dermatological evaluation, VAS score 9.39 0.90. (4) Conclusions: 1064/532 main weapon treating benign hypermelanosis. seems guarantee devices. However, clinical trial nanosecond necessary confirm study’s findings.

Picosecond laser pulse generation in a monolithic self-Q-switched solid-state laser
We report the generation of laser pulses of 290-ps duration with 8-N pulse energy in single longitudinal mode and single transverse mode in a diode-end-pumped monolithic self-Q-switched Cr,Nd:YAG laser. The most commonly used method of generating picosecond laser pulses is the mode-locking technique. Mode-locking generally requires a light modulator such as an intracavity acousto-optical modula...
متن کاملPicosecond Laser Source with Single Knob Adjustable Pulse Width
We describe and demonstrate a system which can be used with many types of actively modelocked lasers to create a source of variable width picosecond pulses. This system is an active compression scheme which incorporates a resonant electro-optic quadratic phase modulator to impart the linear frequency chirp on an optical pulse. To demonstrate, we used the modulator to chirp the 85 ps pulses from...
متن کاملLidar-radar velocimetry using a pulse-to-pulse coherent rf-modulated Q-switched laser.
An rf-modulated pulse train from a passively Q-switched Nd:YAG laser has been generated using an extra-cavity acousto-optic modulator. The rf modulation reproduces the spectral quality of the local oscillator. It leads to a high pulse-to-pulse phase coherence, i.e., phase memory, over thousands of pulses. The potentialities of this transmitter for lidar-radar are demonstrated by performing Dopp...
متن کاملVisualizing hippocampal neurons with in vivo two-photon microscopy using a 1030 nm picosecond pulse laser
In vivo two-photon microscopy has revealed vital information on neural activity for brain function, even in light of its limitation in imaging events at depths greater than several hundred micrometers from the brain surface. We developed a novel semiconductor-laser-based light source with a wavelength of 1030 nm that can generate pulses of 5-picosecond duration with 2-W output power, and a 20-M...
